This privacy policy has been compiled to better serve those who are concerned with how their 'Personally Identifiable Information' (PII) is being used online. Permissions we require in Chrome, Firefox, Opera, Edge and Safari

In our browser extensions we ask you to grant us access to read and change all your data on all websites you visit. We need this to be able to translate words and texts on selection and double click right on those web pages. We don't collect any of your data such as URLs of visited pages, or PII (such as emails, passwords, etc). It's simply the sole way for us to be able to provide you with convenient on-page translations.

What personal information do we collect from the people that visit our blog, website or app?

 

When ordering or registering on our site, as appropriate, you may be asked to enter your name, email address or other details to help you with your experience. If you haven't created an account, we only collect anonymous telemetry data using Google Analytics which helps us to improve the product. It doesn't include any PII. At the first launch of each of our apps you're asked if you agree with our Privacy Policy, if you don't give a consent, telemetry data won't be gathered, either. 

When do we collect information?

We collect information from you when you create a Mate account or purchase a Pro version. 
 

How do we use your information?

 

We may use the information we collect from you when you register, make a purchase, sign up for our newsletter in the following ways:

  • To improve the product by analyzing which features are used the most and in which ways.

  • To quickly process your transactions.

  • To send periodic emails regarding your order or product updates you may be interested in.

Can I be forgotten?

You can unsubscribe from our email communications at any time at the bottom of each email. You can request us to delete all your data to be permanently deleted from our servers in app settings in each of Mate apps. It's an automated process, you don't have to get in touch with us.

 

How do we protect your information?

 

An external PCI compliant payment gateway handles all CC transactions. We're using Paddle.com for this.

Your personal information is contained behind secured networks and is only accessible by a limited number of persons who have special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential. In addition, all sensitive/credit information you supply is encrypted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology.

 

We implement a variety of security measures when a user places an order enters, submits, or accesses their information to maintain the safety of your personal information.

 

All transactions are processed through a gateway provider and are not stored or processed on our servers.

Paddle

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.comPaddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
